The delegation first inspected the Kangli Avenue eastern extension project and the Yuandang Lake shore renovation project and learnt about the progress Wujiang has made in promoting inter-provincial infrastructure construction and ecological improvement. Zhang Yefei spoke highly of Wujiang’s efforts in accelerating transportation infrastructure construction and improving the ecological environment of local lakes so as to create a world-class waterfront human settlement in the demonstration zone. He expressed hope that the district can make more remarkable achievements to welcome the first anniversary of the launching of the pioneering area of the demonstration zone.
Later, Zhang Yefei and his entourage went to the Administrative Committee of FOHO High-tech Zone, where they visited the planning exhibition hall and had a bird’s eye view of the conjunction area of West Shanghai’s Qingpu District, South Suzhou’s Wujiang District in Jiangsu Province and Northeast Jiaxing’s Jiashan County in Zhejiang Province. The delegation learned in detail about Wujiang’s efforts in promoting the construction of the demonstration zone. Zhang Yefei praised the district for earnestly fulfilling its political responsibility for the implementation of the national strategy, proactively integrating itself into the high-quality development of the YRD region, and striving to promote the construction of the demonstration zone.
The delegation paid a visit to Innoscience (Suzhou) Semiconductor Co., Ltd, where the members were briefed about the company’s history and operation, the application of GaN, and the prospect of the industry. Zhang asked questions about the production capacity of the first phase of the project, the competitiveness of the products and the services most needed from the government. He hoped that Innoscience could seize the opportunities brought by the national strategy of promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and help lay a solid foundation for the development of the semiconductor industry in Wujiang and the entire YRD region, so as to facilitate the high-quality development of the region.
